The laser beam transmitter and receiver are fixed to opposite sides of the ram forming a continuously monitored, danger zone around the punch. As long as the laser beams are not interrupted by foreign objects such as fingers or hands and the operator continues pressing the switch, the forming process isn’t stopped.
